How to Install

All of our products are designed to be light enough to install using removable 3M Command™ Strips, leaving no marks on your walls.  Perfect for rented accommodation.

If you need a stronger fixing, you can also mount them permanently using the methods highlighted below.

IMPORTANT: Always use genuine 3M Command™ strips. Cheaper alternatives generally do not stick strongly enough.

Always press down very firmly for 60 seconds when sticking each Command™ strip. This allows the strips to adhere fully to the porous surface of the panel.

Please note: all fixings are sold separately.

AudioSilk Acoustic Panels

AudioSilk panels are light enough to install using removable sticky strips, leaving no marks on your walls. We recommend 4 x medium or large 3M Command™ strips per panel.

  • Use 3M Command™ strips for mark-free installation. Attach the 2 sides of each strip together before sticking.

  • Place strips on the back on the panel as shown. Press down firmly.

  • IMPORTANT: Press each strip firmly against the wall for at least 60 seconds, then leave alone for at least 1 hour.

  • To mount on the ceiling, or on angled surfaces, double the number of sticky strips and place as shown.

  • For best results, use spray contact adhesive for invisible mounting

  • Alternatively, use small tacks or screws.  These will be visible from the front but can still look good if placed carefully

AudioSilk Bass Traps

AudioSilk Bass Traps are designed to hang neatly in the corner of your room. Simply install two hooks evenly spaced on each wall of the corner, then hang the cord over both hooks. The bass trap will naturally centre itself and sit squarely in the corner.

For damage-free installation, we recommend using 2 × 3M Command™ Large Utility Hooks (sold separately).

Alternatively, the bass trap can be mounted permanently using any picture hooks, screws or nails suitable for your wall type.  Ensure they are suitable for supporting at least 4 kg (9 lb) per bass trap.

  • Fix 2 × 3M Command™ Large Utility Hooks on the walls, evenly spaced around 10cm (4 inches) from the wall corner

  • Fix 2 x picture hooks/screws/nails on the walls, evenly spaced around 10cm (4 inches) from the wall corner

  • Cut the supplied cord into two equal lengths, one for each bass trap

  • Tie the cord to the two mounting rings on the back of the bass trap using secure double knots

  • Using a stepladder, lift the bass trap into position so you can see the mounting hooks from above

  • Hang the bass trap over both hooks. Looking down from above, adjust the cord if required so the trap sits neatly in the corner

  • Minor height adjustments can be made by repositioning the knots in the hanging cord
